Jane Berg accepts award on behalf of Neta Snook, who was inducted into the Transportation Museum May 20
Friday was a big day in Lake Ponerosa resident Jane Berg's life.
Berg, the chief flight instructor and program director of the Indian Hills Aviation Department, was given a special honor on behalf of the late Neta Snook, the first woman aviator in Iowa who went on to teach Amelia Earhart how to fly.
Snook was one of eight Iowans inducted into the Iowa Transportation Museum Heroes Program during a brief ceremony and luncheon on Friday, May 20, at the Grinnell Elks BOP Lodge #1266.
